I almost took part in the crash test of this helmet. One of the reenactors took this helmet and a bigass sword and announced he needs a volunteer to test its durability. He pointed at me, so I was all like "What, I won't do it? Hold my kvass, bro". He gave me the helmet and told me he is gonna hit me with the sword, and there were three scenarios possible: both the helmet and me will hold; the helmet will hold, but I won't; or I'll hold but the helmet won't.
So, the guy swung that sword above his head... then suddenly, instead of smashing the helmet (with my head in) he leaned forward and roared right in my ear. I was too busy thinking "wtf bro?" to get scared. He then said to those who were watching "Hey, the first one today who hasn't flinched! We're taking him for a Viking". Nope, bro, I'm a Slav, cannot do
