Stearman Kaydet

Stearman Model 75 Kaydet was a pre-war trainer biplane, produced by Stearman company (now part of Boeing) since 1934. It was used by the U.S. Air Force and Navy as a basic trainer, and sometimes as a liaison aircraft between various facilities. After the war, many surplus Kaydets were sold to civilian users, often being coverted to a cropduster by installing a hopper in the front cabin and hoses for spraying fertilizers or pesticides. It was immortalised in a film North by Northwest, chasing Cary Grant across a field.
