Sokol 1000

Sokół 1000 (Falcon 1000) was a famous pre-war Polish heavy motorcycle, one of the basic machines of this type in Polish Army. It was produced by PZInż (Państwowe Zakłady Inżynierii - State Engineering Works) since 1934 until the Second World War. Powered by 995 ccm, 22 HP engine, it could reach 100 km/h, and crossed most of the obstacles relatively easily. Sokół was appreciated by its reliability and durability, partially due to the soft suspension of the sidecar. It was also aviable on civilian market, but very few people could afford to buy it, due to its high price. After the September Campaign, some motorcycles were captured by the invading German and Soviet armies, who used at least several dozen examples.
